            Softball Preview: Easley Green Wave vs. Mauldin Mavericks        
        
		
        
        
            The Easley Green Wave will head out on the road to  square off against  the Mauldin Mavericks  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Easley will be strutting in after a  win while Mauldin will be coming in after a  defeat.
Easley is headed in fresh off scoring the most  runs they have   all season. They put the hurt on J.L. Mann with a sharp  19-4 victory on Monday. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Green Wave.
 Jalyn McGee made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out nine batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (and not a single walk). McGee was also solid in the batter's box,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with two  doubles. Those  three  hits gave  her a new career-high.

 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Camora Little, who  went 2-for-3 with four  runs, one  triple,  and two  RBI. Those  four  runs gave  her a new career-high.  Journey Price was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with two  stolen bases and two  runs.
 Meanwhile, Mauldin was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They took  an  18-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of Greenwood.
 Easley's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Mauldin, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.
 Easley skirted past Mauldin  2-1 in their previous meeting  back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Green Wave since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
