Soccer Recap: Los Lunas Comes Up Short

Los Lunas managed to keep up with Rio Grande until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Tigers lost 11-1 to the Ravens. While losing is never fun, Los Lunas can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Mexico soccer rankings (they are ranked 66th, while Rio Grande are ranked tenth).

This is the second loss in a row for Los Lunas and nudges their season record down to 1-10. As for Rio Grande, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2-2 record this season.

Los Lunas didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-0 defeat against Monte Del Sol Charter on the 27th. As for Rio Grande, they have also already played their next matchup, a 9-0 victory against West Mesa on the 27th.
