Baseball Recap: Southwind Takes a Loss

Southwind came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 10-1 to the Germantown Red Devils. That makes it the first time this season the Jaguars have let down their home crowd.

Stephen Simmons made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Southwind is 3-1 when Simmons posts two or more stolen bases, but 4-5 otherwise.

Southwind's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Germantown, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-7.
