Basketball Recap: T.C. Roberson Takes a Loss

If T.C. Roberson was feeling good fresh off their 52-29 takedown of Brevard last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The T.C. Roberson Rams took a blow against the A.C. Reynolds Rockets on Tuesday, falling 63-29. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 232nd, while the Rockets are ranked 45th).

When it comes to explaining why T.C. Roberson lost, don't look at Skylar Gribben. Despite the final result, she posted eight points.

Even though they lost, T.C. Roberson smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.

A.C. Reynolds' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Peyton Harvey, who went 6-for-12 to rack up 15 points and three steals. Adalyn Wilkinson was another key player, going 6-for-7 on her way to 13 points.

T.C. Roberson has traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season. A.C. Reynolds has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season.

T.C. Roberson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for A.C. Reynolds, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 74-20 victory against Enka on the 21st.
