Recap: Cedaredge Bruins vs. Buena Vista Demons
The Cedaredge Bruins''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 39-20 bruising from Buena Vista. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Cedaredge in their matchups with Buena Vista: they've now lost four in a row.
Despite the loss, Cedaredge still got an impressive performance from Luke Maxey, who rushed for 60 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, and also threw for 210 yards and a touchdown while picking up 10.5 yards per attempt. Another player making a difference was Logan Tullis, who gained 100 total yards and a touchdown.
Among those leading the charge was Caleb Camp, who rushed for 124 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. Buena Vista also got a significant boost from Eli Schuknecht, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 82 yards.
Cedaredge's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 3-4. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 14.8 points per game. As for Buena Vista, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
Cedaredge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Buena Vista also has no future games currently scheduled.
