Baseball Recap: College Prep's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

College Prep got themselves on the board against Cornerstone Christian on Tuesday, but Cornerstone Christian never followed suit. They blew past Cornerstone Christian 14-0. The win was a breath of fresh air for College Prep as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

College Prep let Liev Melamed and Gardner Rees run wild. Melamed went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Rees went 3-for-4 with three runs and three RBI. That's the most hits Rees has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Tilden Rees, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

College Prep was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .607. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in four consecutive matches.

College Prep's victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Cornerstone Christian, they dropped their record down to 1-11 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road.

College Prep wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 13-4 loss against Encinal on the 7th. As for Cornerstone Christian, they have also already played their next contest, a 15-2 defeat against Rio Lindo Adventist on the 9th.
