The San Jose Bulldogs took a blow against the Gunderson Grizzlies on Friday, falling 47-10. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Grizzlies recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
A big part of Gunderson's win came down to the chemistry between Andrew Fernandez and his top target Luis Valdespino. Fernandez threw for 270 yards and five touchdowns while completing 81.8% of his passes while Valdespino picked up 149 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Valdespino really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 82 yards. A healthy portion of Fernandez's aerial production (98 yards to be exact) also went to Greg Darling, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
San Jose's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Gunderson, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-3.
