Baseball Game Preview: Harvest Christian Academy Saints vs. Bethesda Christian Lions

The Harvest Christian Academy Saints will head out on the road to face off against the Bethesda Christian Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Harvest Christian Academy knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Bethesda Christian likes a good challenge.

Harvest Christian Academy gave up the first runs on Monday, but they didn't let that get them down. They were the clear victor by a 17-2 margin over Lakehill Prep. The Saints have beaten the Warriors the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Warriors has come to flipping the script.

Jase French was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Ticknor, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.

Harvest Christian Academy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most four strikeouts in four consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Bethesda Christian came up short against Harvest Christian Academy on Monday and fell 18-14. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jayden Myers and Matthew Benson did some serious damage despite the final result: Myers went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Benson scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-4. That triple was Myers' first of the season. Alex Rosario was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

Bethesda Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Harvest Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Harvest Christian Academy has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Bethesda Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
