Basketball Recap: Solon Comes Up Short

Solon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 61-49 to the Marysville Monarchs. While losing is never fun, the Comets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 442nd, while the Monarchs are ranked 178th).

Solon's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Marysville, they pushed their record up to 5-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Solon will challenge Nordonia at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Marysville, they will host Bishop Watterson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
