Soccer Game Preview: Sequatchie County vs. Upperman

The Sequatchie County Indians are taking a road trip to take on the Upperman Bees at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Sequatchie County is headed into Thursday's matchup hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight losses. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of White County on Tuesday. That's two games in a row now that Sequatchie County have lost by exactly two goals.

Meanwhile, Upperman didn't have quite enough to beat Jackson County on Tuesday and fell 2-1. Upperman have struggled against Jackson County recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Sequatchie County's defeat dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Upperman, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Sequatchie County was able to grind out a solid win over Upperman in their previous matchup back in March of 2025, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
