Softball Recap: Tug Valley Finds Home Field Redemption Against St. Joseph Central

There's no place like home for Tug Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over the St. Joseph Central Irish on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Irish: they've now won five in a row.

Bailee Hall was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Paisley Bolyard, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Katie Hall was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Tug Valley's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for St. Joseph Central, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Looking ahead, Tug Valley is taking a road trip to square off against Tolsia at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rebels have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season. As for St. Joseph Central, they will be playing at home against Fairview at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
