Recap: Friday Harbor Wolverines vs. Concrete Lions

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely the Friday Harbor Wolverines's strategy against the Concrete Lions on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Friday Harbor blew the Lions out of the water with a 78-37 final score. That 41 point margin sets a new team best for Friday Harbor this season.

Pierce Kleine was a one-man wrecking crew for Friday Harbor as he scored 26 points along with six rebounds and three steals. It was the first time this season that Kleine grabbed two or more steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Anderson, who scored 14 points along with three steals.

The win makes it two in a row for Friday Harbor and bumps their season record up to 6-9. As for Concrete, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Friday Harbor will square off against the Lobos at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Lopez is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home. As for Concrete, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Vikings at 4:00 p.m. on January 26th. One thing working in Orcas Island's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four games.
