Volleyball Recap: 15 Straight Road Victories for Maple Mountain

Maple Mountain faced Springville in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles put the hurt on the Red Devils with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Golden Eagles as they're now sitting on six straight.

Maple Mountain not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Springville between 16 and 18 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-16, 25-18.

Trey Thornton paced Maple Mountain's offense, picking up 13 kills. Thornton got some help from Taft Hillman and his 30 assists. Finally, Thornton was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Maple Mountain's victory was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 23-1. As for Springville, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 11-8 record.
