Baseball Recap: Foundation Christian Academy Picks Up 12th Straight Win at Home

Foundation Christian Academy had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Zephyrhills Christian Academy on Monday. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over the Warriors. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won seven matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

Henry Salter and Gabe Messing made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Salter struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up four earned runs off four hits. Meanwhile, Messing pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. At bat, Salter scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3, while Messing went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most hits Salter has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Caleb Hom and Luke Michie did most of the damage at the plate: Hom scored four runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-4, while Michie scored three runs while going 3-for-4. Hom is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last eight games he's played. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Buckwalter, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Foundation Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Zephyrhills Christian Academy only posted an OBP of .357.
