The Evangel Christian Lightning are taking a road trip to take on the Macon-East Montgomery Academy Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Evangel Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.5 runs per game this season.

Evangel Christian's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over Wiregrass. The victory was nothing new for the Lightning as they're now sitting on three straight.

Jaydin Johnson and Gracelynn Shackelford did most of the damage at the plate: Johnson went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Shackelford went 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Makayla Cranford, who earned three RBI and one run.

Evangel Christian hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in 15 consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Macon-East Montgomery Academy came up short against Evangel Christian on April 4th, falling 12-2. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Evangel Christian's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-9. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Macon-East Montgomery Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.
