Softball Game Preview: Springbrook Blue Devils vs. Walter Johnson Wildcats

Springbrook hasn't had much luck against Walter Johnson recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Blue Devils will take on the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Springbrook has given up an average of 17 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Springbrook couldn't beat Northwood on Wednesday even though they stacked five runs on them in the fifth inning. The Blue Devils came up short against the Gladiators, falling 20-9.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Walter Johnson took on Northwest on Monday. The Wildcats narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Jaguars 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Wildcats have posted since April 1, 2025.

Walter Johnson's victory bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Springbrook, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-14.

Springbrook might still be hurting after the 16-0 loss they got from Walter Johnson in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Can the Blue Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
