Volleyball Recap: Lakeside Comes Up Short

Lakeside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the El Rancho Dons.

Lakeside's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for El Rancho, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-3-1 record this season.

Lakeside didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Santa Ana Valley on the 19th. As for El Rancho, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Warren on the 19th.
