Recap: Pemberton Hornets vs. Medford Tech Jaguars
The Pemberton Hornets lost against the Medford Tech Jaguars last Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Pemberton took a serious blow against Medford Tech, falling 84-46. Pemberton was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 55-17.
Medford Tech got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Tre Powell out in front who scored 34 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Powell is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nesta Rice, who scored 22 points along with five rebounds and five steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Pemberton and nudges their season record down to 8-10. As for Medford Tech, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pemberton won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Westampton Tech at 5:00 p.m. on January 26th. Westampton Tech is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Medford Tech, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Trenton Catholic Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 26th. Trenton Catholic Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 520 points over their last eight contests.
