Softball Recap: Lexington Takes a Loss

The matchup between Lexington and Arlington on Tuesday hardly resembled the 3-1 effort from their previous meeting. The Minutemen lost 13-7 to the Spy Ponders. The Minutemen were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Spy Ponders earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Lexington now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Arlington, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lexington will challenge Westport at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Arlington, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Billerica Memorial at 4:00 p.m.
