            Cardinal Newman extended their winning streak  to three  on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 12-10 in the process. They had just enough and edged out the Maria Carrillo Pumas  4-2. That's two games straight that the Cardinals have won by  exactly two  runs.

 Josh Jannicelli tossed a big game,   striking out 13 batters over  six innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't  tossed less than seven  strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side, Cardinal Newman saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Caden Owen, who  went 1-for-2 with one  stolen base and one  run.  Madden White was another,  going 2-for-3 with one  run and one  RBI.
