Basketball Game Preview: Ephrata Tigers vs. Selah Vikings

Ephrata hasn't had much luck against Selah recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Ephrata Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Selah Vikings at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Ephrata is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They came out on top against Okanogan by a score of 68-55 on Tuesday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Tigers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 230th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 49th).

Meanwhile, Selah was able to grind out a solid victory over Quincy on Friday, taking the game 74-63. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

With the win, Ephrata broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-11. As for Selah, their record now sits at 12-3.

Ephrata was dealt a bruising 81-36 loss at the hands of Selah in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Can Ephrata avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
