Basketball Recap: Mitchell County Triumphs

Terrell County came into Tuesday's match looking for another win against Mitchell County, but Adrianna Burke wouldn't allow it. The Mitchell County Eagles had just enough and edged the Terrell County Greenwave out 23-21 thanks in part to Burke, who posted six points and 11 rebounds. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in boards.

Despite the loss, Terrell County still got an impressive performance from Jentaiya Rushing, who earned 15 points.

Mitchell County's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Terrell County, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 3-3.

Mitchell County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 57-45 loss against Randolph-Clay on the 13th. As for Terrell County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 36-28 defeat against Early County on the 13th.
