Volleyball Recap: Talawanda Snags Tenth Victory in Last 12 Games

Talawanda's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Withrow Tigers as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Talawanda took every set by at least 15 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-2, 25-10.

Talawanda can attribute much of their success to Lillian Patterson, who had nine aces. Those nine aces gave Patterson a new career-high.

Patterson wasn't the only good servers: Talawanda was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 26 aces. The Brave are a perfect 12-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Talawanda is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. As for Withrow, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.

Coming up, Talawanda will challenge Goshen at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Withrow does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
