Napoleon is 7-0 against Wauseon since December of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Napoleon Wildcats will take on the Wauseon Indians in a tournament on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Napoleon sitting on four straight victories and Wauseon on three.

Napoleon will head into Thursday's contest hoping to keep the good times rolling: they had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 30-point drubbing they dealt Holgate on Thursday. Napoleon took their game with ease, bagging a 44-14 win over Holgate. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 30 points or more this season.

Ava Good was the offensive standout of the contest as she went 6 of 9 on her way to 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lylah Huddle, who posted two points and seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, Wauseon humbled Liberty Center with a 53-26 victory. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 145th, while the Tigers are ranked 546th), the result on Thursday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Napoleon pushed their record up to 6-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 25.8 points. As for Wauseon, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.

Napoleon didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Wauseon in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 40-35 victory. Does Napoleon have another victory up their sleeve, or will Wauseon turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
