Volleyball Recap: Benton Comes Up Short

Benton lost against Pembroke Hill back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cardinals fell 2-0 to the Raiders.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Pembroke Hill scored at least 17 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-17.

Lochlar O'Bleness was the offensive standout of the match as she had 14 digs.

Benton has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-15-2 record this season. As for Pembroke Hill, they pushed their record up to 19-6-4 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Benton will square off against Chillicothe at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Pembroke Hill, they will face off against Van Horn at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
