            Baseball Preview: Haines City Hornets vs. South Lake Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            The Haines City Hornets will venture away from home to  take on the South Lake Eagles  at 7:00  p.m.  on Monday. Haines City has given up an average of 11.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
Haines City is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 14  runs  two weeks ago, they were much more limited against Celebration  on Wednesday. They came up short against  the Storm, falling  12-2.
 Haines City saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Juan Valbuena-Laballos, who  went 1-for-3 with one  RBI. That  RBI was  Valbuena-Laballos' first of the season.
Meanwhile, South Lake might've scored the first runs on Friday, but it was Eustis who claimed the real prize. South Lake fell just short of Eustis by a score of  2-1. The Eagles have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
  J Brewer was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he  struck out seven batters over  6.1 innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   three  hits.
 South Lake's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Haines City, their defeat was  their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 1-4.
