Softball Recap: Colbert Heights Takes a Loss

Colbert Heights suffered their closest loss since April 18, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Mars Hill Bible Panthers by a score of 4-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost three in a row.

Colbert Heights saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Autumn Willis, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Colbert Heights' loss dropped their record down to 21-6. As for Mars Hill Bible, they have been performing well recently as they've won 16 of their last 20 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Colbert Heights will face off against Lindsay Lane Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Wildcats 2.7, the Lions 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Mars Hill Bible, they will be taking part in a tournament against Florence at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
