Soccer Game Preview: Raleigh-Egypt vs. Ridgeway

The Raleigh-Egypt Pharaohs will take on the Ridgeway Roadrunners at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Raleigh-Egypt's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for nine straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Raleigh-Egypt's offense. They came up short against Hillcrest on Wednesday, falling 6-0.

Meanwhile, Ridgeway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 9-0 to Kirby. While losing is never fun, Ridgeway can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 264th, while Kirby are ranked 102nd).

Ridgeway's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Raleigh-Egypt, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.

Raleigh-Egypt couldn't quite get it done against Ridgeway in their previous matchup back in April of 2023 as they fell 2-0. Can the Pharaohs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
