Volleyball Recap: Roswell Triumphs

Roswell posted their closest win since September 19, 2024 on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Oconee County Warriors. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hornets also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2016.

Oconee County's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sidney Tranel, who had nine digs and four aces. Another player making a difference was Cameron Webb, who had 13 digs and four assists.

The win made it two in a row for Roswell and bumps their season record up to 6-15. As for Oconee County, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 21-9.

Roswell didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Trinity Christian on the 13th. As for Oconee County, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Providence Christian Academy on the 13th.
