Baseball Recap: Omro Starts off Right with Win over Wautoma

Omro took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Wautoma Hornets by a score of 9-4. This was payback for the Foxes, who suffered a 10-4 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Bryce Loker was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Loker was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 4-for-5.

In other batting news, Connor Grams was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Parker K, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Omro was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .382. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wautoma only posted a batting average of .074.

Coming up, Omro will square off against Ripon at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Wautoma, they will head out to take on Oshkosh West at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
