Baseball Game Preview: Ferris Saxons vs. Shadle Park Highlanders

For the second straight game, Ferris will face off against Shadle Park. The Saxons will challenge the Highlanders at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Ferris and Shadle Park, and Ferris kept the tradition alive. The Saxons skirted past the Highlanders 8-6. The win was some much needed relief for the Saxons as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

For Shadle Park's part, they saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matthew Pugh, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. That home run marked the first that Pugh has launched this season. Carsyn Baldwin was another, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Ferris' victory bumped their record up to 5-13. As for Shadle Park, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-9.
