Meanwhile, Sun Valley Magnet came tearing into April 10th's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by an 18-3 margin over Valor Academy. Considering the Pioneers have won three games by more than 14 runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Sun Valley Magnet pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.8 runs over those games. As for Lakeview Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.

Everything went Lakeview Charter's way against Sun Valley Magnet in their previous matchup back in March, as Lakeview Charter made off with a 19-8 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
