Recap: Marion County Warriors vs. Cascade Champions
The Marion County Warriors put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by Cascade at home to the tune of 42-9. Considering Marion County has won six games by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Marion County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was EJ Wilson out in front who rushed for 68 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries. Another player making a difference was Brody Leonard, who rushed for 102 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries.
Marion County's win was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 10-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.3 points per game. As for Cascade, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.
Marion County will be playing in front of their home fans against Westmoreland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cascade, they will head out on the road to face off against East Robertson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. East Robertson will be hoping to continue their four-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.
