Baseball Recap: Edison Comes Up Short

After flying high against Whitney Point on Monday, Edison came back down to earth. The Spartans fell just short of the Lansing Bobcats by a score of 6-4 on Wednesday. Spartans fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Bobcats since on Wednesday.

Edison has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season. As for Lansing, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

While Edison had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
