Baseball Recap: Logan Elm Takes a Loss

Logan Elm was the 10-5 winner over Fairfield Union when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Braves fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 3-1 on Monday. That's two games in a row now that the Braves have lost by exactly two runs.

Grant Cline spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on three hits.

At the plate, Logan Elm saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kelton Bennington, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Logan Elm now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Fairfield Union, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Logan Elm didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-7 defeat against Westfall on the 1st. As for Fairfield Union, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 4-1 victory against Liberty Union on the 2nd.
