Baseball Recap: Port Allen's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Port Allen waltzed into their matchup on Monday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They blew past the East Feliciana Tigers 20-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 15-0 last Friday.

Carson Chapman made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI.

In other batting news, Hunter Bodin was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Evan Trabeaux was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-3.

Port Allen always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East Feliciana only posted an OBP of .412.

Port Allen's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for East Feliciana, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Port Allen will take on East Iberville at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Port Allen will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. As for East Feliciana, a feisty cat fight will be fought as East Feliciana Tigers take on McKinley Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
