Basketball Game Preview: Edgewater Eagles vs. North Tampa Christian Academy Titans

The Edgewater Eagles will face off against the North Tampa Christian Academy Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Edgewater is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by Horizon to the tune of 89-47 on Tuesday. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 45th, while the Hawks are ranked 605th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, North Tampa Christian Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They snuck past the Cobras with a 64-60 win.

Edgewater has also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for North Tampa Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 15-5.
