Soccer Game Preview: Glendora vs. Claremont

Glendora is 2-8 against Claremont since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Glendora Tartans will host the Claremont Wolfpack at 5:30 p.m. Glendora is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

Glendora's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 4-0 margin over Diamond Bar. Considering the Tartans have won five contests by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Claremont, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in December of 2024. They won by a goal and slipped past Bonita 1-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Wolfpack were the better team in the second half.

Glendora is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those five games. As for Claremont, the win got them back to even at 3-3-1.

Glendora came out on top in a nail-biter against Claremont in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. Does Glendora have another victory up their sleeve, or will Claremont turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
