Baseball Recap: Amelia County Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Amelia County can now relate to. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Arcadia Firebirds on Tuesday. The Raiders just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Amelia County's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Arcadia, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-8 record this season.

Amelia County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Arcadia, they will venture away from home to take on Lunenburg Central on Thursday. The Chargers will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Firebirds surely won't give up without a fight.
