Recap: Hartsville Red Foxes vs. North Myrtle Beach Chiefs

The Hartsville Red Foxes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 57-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of North Myrtle Beach. While losing is never fun, Hartsville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 168th, while the Chiefs are ranked 46th).

Hartsville's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mccoy Harry, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Harry has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Shahquan Pendergrass, who scored nine points.

Hartsville has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season. As for North Myrtle Beach, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 14-8.

Hartsville will face off against the Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. West Florence is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. As for North Myrtle Beach, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Bruins at 7:30 p.m. South Florence knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven games -- so hopefully the Chiefs likes a good challenge.
