Baseball Recap: Memphis Central Gets the Win

Memphis Central's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They came out on top against the Germantown Red Devils by a score of 12-8. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Red Devils: they've now won four in a row.

Memphis Central let Isaiah Reynolds and Jonathan Rudd run wild. Reynolds got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Rudd went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI and two runs. Reynolds is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Jayden Cole was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Memphis Central's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Germantown, they moved to 7-3 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Memphis Central will venture away from home to square off against White Station at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Germantown, they will head out to challenge Maine East at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
