Softball Game Preview: Methacton Warriors vs. Upper Perkiomen Indians

The Methacton Warriors will venture away from home to square off against the Upper Perkiomen Indians at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Methacton will be strutting in after a win while Upper Perkiomen will be coming in after a defeat.

Upper Perkiomen will be up against a hot Methacton squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Methacton put the hurt on Owen J. Roberts with a sharp 8-0 victory on Friday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Meanwhile, Upper Perkiomen lost 12-5 to Boyertown on Friday. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Upper Perkiomen saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jocelyn Sledgen, who went 1-for-3 with four RBI and one double. Kristina Molnar was another, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Upper Perkiomen's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Methacton, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.

Methacton couldn't quite get it done against Upper Perkiomen in their previous matchup back in May of 2023 as they fell 17-12. Can Methacton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
