Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Victory Is Pioneer's Third in Last Four Outings

Pleasant Grove came into Saturday's contest looking for another win against Pioneer, but Layla Medalle wouldn't allow it. The Patriots skirted past the Eagles 2-1 with plenty of help from Medalle, who had 18 digs and two assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Pioneer has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Pioneer didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Christian Brothers on the 23rd. As for Pleasant Grove, they will square off against Del Oro at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
