Chautauqua Lake lost against Portville on September 8th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Eagles took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Kinslee Motter paced Chautauqua Lake's offense, picking up eight kills. Motter got some help from Karagan Fairbank and her 17 assists. Brina Jacobson controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Chautauqua Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 20-5-1. As for Portville, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 15-1.

Chautauqua Lake wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Fairport on the 27th. As for Portville, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Wayne on the 27th.
