Basketball Recap: Mt. Carmel Christian Takes a Loss

On Monday, Mt. Carmel Christian came up short against the Bedford County CIA Agents and fell 62-50.

Bedford County CIA's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Silas Gorczyca led the charge by dropping a double-double on 17 points and 19 boards. Gorczyca is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Carter Stuchell, who went 8 of 14 en route to 19 points along with six boards and four steals.

Mt. Carmel Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Bedford County CIA, their win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-3.

Mt. Carmel Christian will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Ligonier Valley at 7:00 p.m. on December 20th. As for Bedford County CIA, they will challenge Varsity Opponent at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
