Volleyball Recap: Durango Falls Short Against Ranked Faith Lutheran

Durango faced Faith Lutheran in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Trailblazers fell just short of the Crusaders by a score of 3-2. The Trailblazers just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Durango sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 19-25, 25-20, 22-25, 15-6.

Durango's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Faith Lutheran, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

After both having extra time off, Durango and Palo Verde will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on September 2. As for Faith Lutheran, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against South Anchorage on the 22nd.
