Baseball Recap: Wolcott RVT Continues Road Dominance on Thursday

It was a proper cat-fight when Wolcott RVT challenged Platt RVT on Thursday. The Wildcats walked away with a 10-5 win over the Panthers. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won seven in a row.

Damian Webb made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over 5.1 innings pitched. Webb was also big at the plate, going a perfect 5-for-5 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted over his last eight games.

In other batting news, Jason Rehben was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Colton Rogola, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Wolcott RVT kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Platt RVT only managed one hit.

Wolcott RVT's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-5. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Platt RVT, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-9.
