Baseball Recap: Erie Snags Seventh Win in Last Nine Games

Erie posted their closest victory since March 21st on Thursday. They skirted past the Broomfield Eagles 4-3. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered an 8-4 loss the last time these two teams met.

Maddox Burnett was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched six innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. Burnett was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other pitching news, Austin Sieckmann looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
