Baseball Recap: Cherokee County Comes Up Short

Cherokee County and Cordova squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Cherokee County had to settle for second. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 8-1 to the Blue Devils, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-1 on Friday.

Cherokee County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Parker Wilson, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Cherokee County's loss dropped their record down to 21-15-1. As for Cordova, the victory got them back to even at 15-15.

While Cherokee County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
