Soccer Game Preview: Atlanta International vs. Meadowcreek

The Atlanta International Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Meadowcreek Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Atlanta International and six for Meadowcreek.

Atlanta International fell victim to Whitefield Academy and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the WolfPack. While losing is never fun, Atlanta International can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 171st, while Whitefield Academy are ranked 42nd).

Meanwhile, it looked like the Kentucky Derby when Meadowcreek took on Brookwood last Thursday. The Mustangs came up short against the Broncos, falling 9-0.

Meadowcreek's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Atlanta International, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.

Atlanta International couldn't quite get it done against Meadowcreek in their previous matchup back in March of 2023 as they fell 2-0. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
